we've been there and back again...

and did we enjoy it and all the sun! It was nice for a little-joy-ride-of-a-vacation. Alright, make that two joy-rides-of-a-vacation.

So... backing up... We have now gone and interviewed for Medical School in Tempe, Arizona, and Kenmore, Washington! Both, of which, were the schools competing for the hubby's #1 spot.

Our AZ trip was fabulous! Wonderful accommodations (Thanks Marilyn!), food, sun, fun and overall a grand time. It was fun to be able to go back to the "old-neighborhood" and show Jake were I "grew-up" and where all my friends lived, events happened, etc. I never realized just how fun that was going to be.

So, even though Arizona has the gorgeous sun, fruit, family and friends, we did end up liking the school up in Washington more. (don't get me wrong, Washington has wonderful fruit, family and friends as well... its just lacking in the sun department.)

When we trudged up to Seattle last week, I told Jake that it was going to be sun shiny the day that we were there just so he would want to live there, because if it was cold, cloudy and rainy it would have taken more than just a nice school for Jake to decide he wanted to pack up and move. Well, true to my word, the only day we were actually in Seattle it was so absolutely gorgeous that it made us start wondering why everyone complains! I am sure we will find out if we go and live up there, but I am thinking that the rare bright sunny days that Washingtonians do enjoy makes it all worth it... It.Is.Beautiful!

So, for all of you who are missing us, and wondering what the heck we are doing with our lives since we are too busy to reply to email, phone and probably wouldn't be home if you dropped by... hopefully this answers all of your questions.

As for being accepted... Jake has been accepted into the school in Tempe, which would be wonderful to go to as well! But we haven't, and won't hear back from Seattle for at least two more weeks (I know that is just keeping you on the edge of your seats!)

So hopefully I will blog again before Jake hears back, but if not it is because I am either busy, lazy or playing with little miss schmutz (hopefully not the middle excuse)!
