happy easter

our little family hopes that all had a wonderful easter full of eggs, chocolate, yummy baby yogurt melts and precious loved ones! I know we had a perfect Easter Sunday, and are grateful for all the wonderful family that we were able to celebrate with.

Other than a fun easter, we've got quite a few things that have come about. First off, we are moving to Seattle WA.. with Jake being accepted into Bastyr University and entering with a scholarship as well. And I've got to say that I am super excited to be moving somewhere new (for those who don't know me, I am quite the wanderer, and don't like to be in one place too long)

Another fun development, would be that Ashlyn is "learning" to walk. It is more like she is learning to face fears of falling, because she is super duper steady on her feet, and has taken a few steps on her own when we've tricked her into it, but will not -for the life of her- take a step without holding onto someone/thing.

She is also starting to try to make sounds that she hears others make. Her favorite phrase is - "no no no no"... I wonder where she picked that up...

If you couldn't guess, she is also a terrible tease. Her favorite thing to do is to tease either her parents, grandparents or little playmates (I swear she gets it and learned it from her father)

Well that just about sums up what has happened the past few weeks in our household. I am just busy walking Ashlyn around and trying to keep our end of the world organized. Jake is GRADUATING with a BS (hehehe) degree in a week (from tomorrow) and I am super proud and excited for him!

until next time....
