The Best Worst Weekend Ever...

So have you ever had one of those days that everything that could've gone wrong, seemed to go wrong? Well that was my entire weekend, this last week. And even though we wasted a lot of time, money and gas, it turned into one of the most enjoyable weekends of this year!

Well we ended up going up the moon's cabin this weekend, and having a lot of fun! a lot of stuff went wrong, but in the end there are no regrets! We had such a relaxing weekend playing games, the boys went paintballing in the snow.. while the girls (Genny, Tiffany and I) had our first taste of halo... which is, by the way, quiet fun. we understand, now, why the guys enjoy it so much!... cuddling up by the fire, watching scary movies, and just enjoying each others company.

Adam & his cute girlfriend Tiffany

This is the first time since their missions that these boys

have gotten together to paintball...

... and they were so excited!
(my boy is the crazy one in the middle..xoxo)

not even the first snow of the year stopped them from paintballing

(it stopped us girls, though... it was a little too chilly for us)

but what a gorgeous day!

So in the end the bad... which included a late late start up the cabin friday night; it snowing, which made paintballing difficult; I had to cut the trip short to go back to work late late saturday night; loosing jakes backpack which had $2.5k+ worth of books & our laptop; spending a frantic day searching for the laptop which ended us up with a broken car...

but finally, in the end i just need to put my faith in the Lord first not after all other resources are dried up. After our wasted day of searching, and after calling every single person that could have accidentally picked up jake's backpack, we kneeled down and offered a short, but sincere prayer...

You'd think i'd learn by now... since this happens to me all the time! but, sure enough, the second after the prayer was through I stood up and remembered right where we had put the backpack... so, hopefully, I will remember now to go the the Lord right when I need help, because He can see everything and He knows everything... why I don't try to lean on Him more than a do? I don't know, but I am going to try to from now on!

... so that is why it was The Best Worst Weekend Ever...

Phew! I'm glad your prayer was answered so quickly. I think we tend to under estimate the power of prayer. Thank you for the reminder. Glad you had fun this past weekend. It is fun to see pictures of my cousins. =)

Wow - that was a crazy weekend!! Next time I see you, fill me in on all the details, k? That's a cool reminder, too... I think we all need to be reminded once in a while.
