quick mother's day gift...

For those who live far away from parents.. doesn't it make gift giving so much harder? I hardly ever remember to get the gifts that I do get into the mail on time. I'm I the only one in this predicament?

So I have been looking for good mother's day gifts that could be easily mailed. The one above is a 17x11 poster I put together of my family (I am the one, in the middle, with the one child). I made it using the Sophistication Silhouette Stamps... on sale today for only $1... and the Sophistication Banner Stamps. It was quick, and easy, and I think that my mom will like it.

I am also thinking of making it in a 7x5 card format.. that would be a lot easier to mail, and easier for my mother to store.

So what are you making for your mother/mother-in-law for the big mother's day this week? Are you in my situation where you have to mail everything?

Thank you....

For all the support and well wishes I have received this week!

My birthday showed up yesterday... and it was perfect, thanks to a fabulous husband, a babysitting-wonderful cousin, delightful phone calls from far.away family, online comments from friends, and a lovely daughter who enjoyed a impromtu photo-shoot with her mommy yesterday.

...and... have you ever put your camera on self timer and raced to pose for the ticking-time-bomb-camera? you should try it... we had a lot of fun trying funny things out. It was a great mommy & daughter time...

But, since I enjoyed our little blog hop we had on tuesday.. I have been just dying to give out another freebie {yipee!} so I hope you do enjoy it as much as I do!

...and... there has been a request for a little tutorial about how I made the flowers on my hybrid pages... oh please don't worry! I have heard your requests, and am putting together a show and tell about how to make beautiful hybrid flowers (and they are so cheap! ...doesn't that make them all the better?)

sophistication...

...at its best! I am so excited for my new digital scrapbooking line "Sophistication" to come out at DHD! I couldn't help but put together a little sneak.peek hybrid layout to share. This layout could also, easily, be made all digital.. But I am trying to expand my horizon by adding handmade flowers, buttons and brads.

So take a look, but come back tomorrow to see the entire kit {.. and get it 30% off thursday only}

I am also thinking of throwing together a little wonderful coordinating freebie for all my wonderful blog readers... we had a little too much fun yesterday, didn't we?

(if we missed what happened yesterday.. scroll on down..)

is it monday?

...I still feel like I am on weekend mode. And I really do not want to clean my house.. ugh. right? I dislike mondays for that reason. So, to distract my pity.filled.soul, I decided to scrap up a hybrid with my new "tu es jolie" kit at DHD. The colors on this kit are so vibrant.. I love how they printed. And what makes it even more fun, is that this kit looks gorgeous with black 'n white photos... and I adore b&w... mmm...

This picture was taken over a year ago.. isn't my little miss so sweet...

well, I guess the crafty project helped with my depressed.because.its.monday.mood... so on to scrubbing some floors and folding some laundry!

but check back tomorrow for some more fun.. fun.. fun..

a wonderful weekend...

...does that mean I have a hectic week in front of me? I hope not. But the weekend was, uncommonly slow... it started with the weather, once again, warming up to a delightful coolness/warmth. Little miss schmutz and I celebrated by fashioning up our mr. potatohead's in different get up and then setting them up for a photoshoot.

...wouldn't you love an arm where your nose should be? and a tongue on the side of your head?... I know I would.
